How to Play Like a king

Like a king unblocked is a tower defense and deck-building game from LAK Games in which you play a king going up against other kings. Your army is a collection of cards, and every card is a unique unit, so the deck you bring to a battle decides what you are able to do once it starts.

Those units are not all swords. Some of them attack the enemy directly, some of them mine gold, and some lay traps for enemy units to walk into, which means a deck built only for damage is missing two of the three jobs the battlefield asks of you. Battles play out on a grid of tiles: you place units down, point them at the enemy units you want them to fight, and adjust as the other king answers your placement with one of his own. The side that destroys all of the opposing units first is the side left standing.

Around the battles sits the progression. Quests are completed, cards are collected, and the deck gets stronger for the fights ahead, with fast multiplayer battles against other kings alongside the campaign. The setting is a fantasy one, full of orcs, monsters and sharp-eyed elves, and the pitch is exactly that: put on the crown, take your castle and out-think everyone who wants it.
