Stickdoll: God of Archery is a turn-based archery duel with a preparation phase in front of it. The setting is an ongoing conflict in the Stickdoll universe between Flame, who represents fire, Gargle, who represents poison, and Ophelia, the representative of goodness — and each match is a round of that fight.

The equipment phase is what makes it more than a shooting contest. Before the arena you collect armour, arrows and random item bubbles, and the game warns you that those bubbles are not always useful. That means arriving at the duel with a strong loadout is partly a matter of choice and partly a gamble you took on the way in.

The arena itself is turn-based: you fire the arrows you collected in turn, and the power bar has to be set correctly before releasing.
