How to Play Gangster War

Gangster War unblocked is a defence shooter built around holding ground rather than taking it. Rival gang members are trying to invade your territory, and every level is a version of the same question: can what you have bought so far keep them out?

The economy answers that question. Defending earns money, and money goes three ways — strengthening your area, buying more powerful weapons, or spending it on bombs for a level that has got away from you. Those are genuinely competing uses, since a bomb solves the wave in front of you while an upgrade solves every wave after it.

There are 40 different levels and 12 different enemies, which gives the six upgradeable weapons room to matter. A weapon that handled the early gangs will not hold against later ones, so upgrading is the pace you have to keep rather than an optional improvement. Aiming is done by touching the war zone on screen, which keeps the input as simple as possible and puts the whole game in the decisions you make between levels rather than in the shooting itself.
